Southeast Hospital provides experiential training for students from St. Louis College of Pharmacy as well as other colleges of pharmacy. Residents will have the opportunity to participate in the Resident Education Academy through St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
The program offers individual mentoring, formal lectures from experienced faculty members and opportunities for teaching pharmacy students in required or elective courses.
Residents provide a formal seminar on a focused therapeutic topic to students, faculty and clinical pharmacists in the region.
Residents will be required to complete a research project suitable for publication and presented at a residency conference.
Residents are paid a stipend of $47,486 for the residency year. Additional benefits include paid time off, travel reimbursement for meetings and health, dental and vision insurance
Applicants must possess a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and be eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri.

Leslie Young is originally from Richmond, Missouri. She earned a Pharm.D. from the University of Missousri – Kansas City School of Pharmacy at Columbia in 2017. Leslie chose Southeast Hospital for its diversity of rotations, welcoming pharmacy staff and opportunities to learn through the antimicrobial stewardship program.
Outside of her pharmacy residency, Leslie enjoys spending time with her husband, John, and her dog, Teddy, staying active through CrossFit and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings. She is excited to further her pharmacy career through the residency program at Southeast Hospital.
John Talili is originally from Peoria, Illinois. He graduated with a Pharm.D from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville in 2019.
John decided to pursue a residency at Southeast Hospital to improve his clinical skills and knowledge. The healthcare team and welcoming environment at Southeast are some of the many highlights he sees in the PGY-1 residency program.
