Basic Nursing Tracks
For those who are not applying as LPNs or Paramedics

There are two tracks for Basic nursing. The full-time track begins with the summer semester and takes two years to complete. The part-time track has evening/weekend courses, begins in the fall semester, and takes 3 1/2 years to complete.

Eligibility Requirements for Basic Track

  1. GPA requirement (one of the following):
    • If 18 or more semester hours of college-level courses are completed, overall college GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale plus completion of a high school diploma or approved high school equivalency exam
    • If less than 18 semester hours of college-level courses are completed, overall college GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale plus high school GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale or completion of an approved high school equivalency exam
    • If a current high school student, completion of at least the junior year with a high school GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale
  2. Exam requirements:
    • ACT composite score of 21 or higher. Waived if age 23 or older.
    • ATI TEAS total score of 70% or higher with a minimum TEAS Science score of 45% (both scores must be obtained on the same exam)
  3. Completion of all immunization requirements
  4. Clearance on various background checks

LPN to RN Tracks
For those who will be LPNs before the first day of class

There are two tracks for LPN to RN bridge program. The full-time accelerated track begins with the summer semester and takes one year to complete. The part-time track has evening/weekend courses, begins in the fall semester, and takes 3 1/2 years to complete.

Eligibility Requirements for LPN to RN Tracks

  1. National League for Nursing (NLN) Nursing Challenge Exam I (NACE I) score of 75% or higher
  2. ATI TEAS total score of 70% or higher with a minimum TEAS Science score of 45% (both scores must be obtained on the same exam)
  3. Copy of LPN license (A current license must be maintained throughout the program. Students currently enrolled in LPN programs have 90 days after graduation to provide a copy of the license. License must be on file before beginning any nursing courses.)
  4. Completion of all immunization requirements
  5. Clearance on various background checks
  6. Official high school transcript showing graduation or completion of an approved high school equivalency exam
  7. Official transcripts from all colleges, universities, and vocational schools attended

Paramedic to RN Tracks
For those who have worked as Paramedics for at least one year

There are two tracks for Paramedic to RN bridge program. The full-time accelerated track begins with the summer semester and takes one year to complete. The part-time track has courses only on Mondays and Thursdays, begins in the fall semester, and takes 3 1/2 years to complete.

Eligibility Requirements for Paramedic to RN Tracks

  1. GPA requirement (one of the following):
    • If 18 or more semester hours of college-level courses are completed, overall college GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale plus completion of a high school diploma or approved high school equivalency exam
    • If less than 18 semester hours of college-level courses are completed, overall college GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale plus high school GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale or completion of an approved high school equivalency exam
  2. Exam requirements:
    • ACT composite score of 21 or higher taken less than 5 years ago. Waived if age 23 or older.
    • ATI TEAS total score of 70% or higher with a minimum TEAS Science score of 45% (both scores must be obtained on the same exam)
  3. Completion of all immunization requirements
  4. Clearance on various background checks
  5. Minimum one year of Paramedic work experience
  6. Current Paramedic license
