Admissions

Applying for College is not a choice to take lightly. It takes time. We want to value your time and make our application process as smooth as possible. While the easiest way to apply to our College is with our online application, you may request a paper copy as well. Before you click the Apply Now button, here are a few things to know.

Applications are accepted year-round. We ask for application submissions at least four weeks before the scheduled start date. Accepted students are assigned the next available seat in the program to which they have applied. However, some programs may be admitting one to two years in advance, so apply early! Regardless of the program, all students are SoutheastHealth College of Nursing & Health Sciences students.

If you are a high school student, you may apply once you complete your junior year. Additionally, anyone interested in a course (or two) but does not want to enroll in a program fully may apply as a Community Student.

What Happens After I Have Submitted Application?

There’s still work to do! First, make sure all your official transcripts are sent to us (ask your Registrar’s office). Other required documentation should be sent as well.

All of our programs (except for Medical Lab Science) require a TEAS score. We will accept scores two years old from the date of your application. Learn more about the TEAS exam, where to take it, and the minimum score required for each program.

When all required materials are submitted, your application goes to the appropriate program director for review. In many cases, once you have received an email that your application is in review, you can begin to set up your CastleBranch account. CastleBranch is used to run background checks and for students to upload their vaccination records.

If you are accepted to the College, you will receive an acceptance letter. If your application is declined, you will be notified why and what steps you can take to re-apply.

Application Steps

1. College Application

Complete the main college application.

2. Application Fee(s)

Pay the $50 application fee. This payment can be made via cash, check, money order or credit card (online) and must be paid before an application can be submitted.

3. Transcripts and Test Scores

Request the following be sent to the College of Nursing & Health Sciences. These documents must be sent directly from the issuing institution/organization to be considered official.

  • An official high school transcript or an official score report from the GED/HiSET
  • An official college transcript from every college or university attended during or after high school
  • Official test scores (ACT, TEAS and/or NACE)
