Associate Degree Nursing Program
LPN to RN Bridge Options
The LPN to RN Bridge track is intended to allow licensed practical nurses an opportunity for educational advancement. Southeast Hospital College of Nursing & Health Sciences offers two educational options for licensed practical nurses.
LPNs may choose to go to the one-year accelerated track or the two-year evening/weekend track.
The curriculum is the same for both tracks, but the pace differs.
That is, individuals in the one-year program are in an accelerated track, taking nursing courses in eight-week semesters while students enrolled in the two-year track take nursing courses during 16-week semesters.
Upon completion of the LPN to RN Bridge tracks, graduates have met the educational requirements necessary to be eligible to take the national examination for registered nurse licensure, the NCLEX-RN.
